The New York Giants returned to East Rutherford on Wednesday to resume practice ahead of a Week 10 game against the New York Jets, but due to the short week, held a walkthrough as opposed to a full practice.

During the portion of practice open to the media, more than just wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) were missing.

In addition to Shep, tight end Evan Engram (foot) and center Jon Halapio (unknown) were nowhere to be seen. But on the positive side of things, wide receiver Russell Shepard, who is currently on injured reserve, was working on the sideline with trainers.

Head coach Pat Shurmur indicated that Engram was dealing with a “sore foot,” which caused him to miss the final drive during a Week 9 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

“He has a little bit of a sore foot. I don’t have any details on that, we’ll just have to see as the week goes on and how he’ll do,” Shurmur told reporters on Tuesday.

Engram has already missed a game this season and has a history of injury issues in his young career. Given the team’s pronounced offensive issues, losing Engram for any additional time would be damning.

Unfortunately, Engram’s issue seems a bit more serious than just a “sore foot.”

Meanwhile, with Halapio not on the field, Spencer Pulley took first team reps and snapped to Daniel Jones, while Nick Gates served as the backup center, snapping to Eli Manning on the second team.

We’ll update this article with the full practice report and injury designations when they are released by the Giants.

Full participant: N/A

Limited participant: RT Mike Remmers (RT)

Non-participant: TE Evan Engram (foot), WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) and C Jon Halapio (unknown)
